California and Federal Wind Power Incentives

  • Small Grid Tie Interface Wind Systems in California are eligible for the Emerging Renewables Rebate of $2.50 per watt for the first 7.5kW and $1.50 per watt up to 30kW. This amounts to $22,500.00 for a 10kW System.

  • Wind Power Systems also get a Federal Tax Credit based on 30% of the Total System Cost that may be carried forward 2 years. Commercial Wind Systems can get this as a Cash Grant instead of a Tax Credit if they choose.
