The Floor Framing Plan

On small structures the Floor Framing Plan is sometimes combined with either the Foundation plan or the X-Section. It typically contains:

  • Mudsill type and Anchor Bolt Dimensions and spacing
  • Dimensions, spacing and lumber type for joists, girders, posts and blocking.
  • Size, duty and location of metal attachments, hangers, hold downs etc.
  • Description of subfloor material, adhesives and nailing schedule when required.
  • Dimensions of headers, support structures and clearances for stairs, fireplaces, crawl space access, furnace registers, etc.
